Springtime Judgement

Spring is my favorite time of year; it's warm, it's freeing, and there's such potential for new beginnings lingering in the air. At least, that's what it's SUPPOSED to be like. Here in Chicago, it's been rainy, cold, and I've been buried in a funk I can't seem to get myself out of.

So naturally, I turned Tarot to this AM and pulled a card to see what insight I could gleam from my pseudo-Springtime doldrums.

Which card reared its perceptive head? Judgment. Dammit.

I was really hoping for The Sun, or the Four of Wands, or the Three of Cups; something to give me SOME indication warmer, better days were ahead. Instead, I drew a card that speaks deeper volumes than the ones I was hoping for.

Judgement, at least to me, is about release; shedding off the weight of all the physical, mental, and spiritual junk you carry around on a daily basis in order to make room for that which heightens your sense of awareness and purpose. It's not about the trivial, small matters. It's much bigger than that.

It's a wake up call.

So what's a Tarot reader to do? How can I, as well as you, implement this ideal into our lives going forward? That's what I want you to think about this week. How can you empower yourself to cast off what no longer serves you so that you can refocus on what energizes you and gives you life.

Do your homework.

It might not be fun, but this could be the PERFECT opportunity to examine how you're living your life vs. how you WANT to live your life and then act and plan accordingly. If there's a disconnect between the reality and the potential, work to find out how you can bridge those gaps to truly free yourself of the proverbial weight holding you down.

The weather may not be in our control, but how we live our lives certainly is.
