Happy Birthday, Virgo!
The Sun moved into the Sixth House sign of details, functionality, and responsibility yesterday, and while this sign often gets a bad wrap, its presence in our charts has a lot to teach us about grounded practicality and an acute attention to detail.
Now, I may be partial because my boyfriend is a Virgo (and a birthday boy on Wednesday!), but I feel like this sign is often picked on for being too critical, picky, and even prudish. As a Mutable Earth sign, they are experts at looking at your finances, domestic life, and even your health, and finding whatever imperfections may reside there. It's their nature to hunt down problems, pointing them out and bringing them to your attention since they desperately want you to be and do your best. While their intentions are good, they can often seem critical or too focused on perfection.
What we Fire, Water, and Air signs need to recognize is that while the Virgo's attention to detail or perfectionist ideals can be a LITTLE annoying (especially for an Aries Sun, Pieces Moon such as myself), the Virgo in your life can teach you volumes on grounding your ideas and goals in reality to help produce real, tangible results. Where a Caner may be too sensitive or a Leo too proud, a Virgo can bring you down to Earth, make you face your reality, and have you ask all the important questions to help guarantee success in whatever endeavor you're choosing. Can they be a little picky? Damn straight they can! That pickiness, however, when coming from a place of love and good intent, is only meant to help you see what Virgo sees in you: absolute perfection.
So, how can you take advantage of the Sun's occupation of Virgo? Start by looking where this sign falls in your own chart. If it sits in your 10th House, the House of Career, now may be a good time to make your career a focus. Get out that To-Do List and make some serious progress on goals, projects, and those detail-oriented tasks you may have been putting off. If it resides in your Fourth House, the house of family and emotional roots, look at organizing a family gathering or outing. Your Virgo is best when dealing with loved ones, so make them a focus and plan accordingly.
